Miscanthus sinensis Gracillimus certainly is, remaining narrow at the bottom and arching outwards to its full width. It is a medium-sized, deciduous, warm-season grass with a clump-forming habit. The very slender leaves are green with white midribs, giving a light, airy appearance. In August and September, arching plumes of silky, creamy-beige flowers appear above the leaves, and persist into winter; flowering sometimes does not occur in a poor summer. Eulalia grass Gracillimus is good back-lit by low autumn sun. Cut back to the base before growth starts in late winter. Height: 1.3m Spread: 1.2m
